The Food Technology Programme
Students design and produce a product that meets the requirements of their Design Brief. In many instances, these are given to us by businesses in our community who mentor students by giving them feedback on their product design. Recipe Book
Students spend several sessions testing, evaluating and modifying their product until they are happy that it meets high standards. The recipes for the best of these products will be placed on our wikispace, along with a photo of the designers. If you have an opportunity to try these at home, please e-mail your feedback to annr@dni.school.nz.
The Kitchen Garden
The kitchen garden is at last up and running at the school. Students have been using 'school' grown silverbeet over the winter and we have just harvested our first broccoli heads. Our cabbages are also ready for use in the Food Technology Room.
